Thassos is the northern island of the Aegean Sea, located very close to the Eastern Macedonia coastline. It is situated in the gulf of Kavala and it’s the closest to the continental Greece (8 km). Thassos is not far from Keramoti and the estuary of the Nestos River. It covers an area of 380 Sq.km. It is an island unlike any other, renowned for its natural beauty and diverse landscapes.
Limenaria on the south side of the island of Thassos is a quiet haven for travelers. The Limenaria beach stretches for about three kilometers from the harbor with its colorful fishing boats and the impressive Palataki building up Tripiti on the western end.

There are various archeological & cultural sites throughout Thassos island but we recommend a visit to the archaeological museum. The museum is considered one of the most important museums of the area, it exhibits collections of archeological finds from the 7th century BC to the 7th century AD.

Nightlife in Thassos is mostly concentrated in the areas of Limenaria, Potos & Limenas. There you can find several nice bars & clubs filled with a vibrant atmosphere that serve alcohol and delicious coctails till the early hours.
